Non-Discrimination Policy
Antara Pathways, Inc. is committed to providing an inclusive, welcoming environment where all people are treated with dignity, respect, and care.
We prohibit discrimination, harassment, and retaliation in all programs, services, activities, and operations.

Scope & Applicability
This policy applies to everyone engaged with Antara Pathways, including clients, family members, volunteers, staff, board members, partners, vendors, and visitors.
It covers all Antara activities, on-site, off-site, and virtual, including service delivery, workshops, outreach, events, and communications.
Protected Classes
Antara Pathways does not discriminate on the basis of:
- Race, color, ancestry, national origin, immigration status, or language
- Religion, spiritual beliefs, faith tradition, or lack thereof
- Sex, gender, gender identity or expression
- Sexual orientation or family/relationship structure
- Age (youth, adult, older adult)
- Disability (physical, sensory, intellectual, developmental, psychiatric) and neurodivergence
- Pregnancy, childbirth, or related conditions
- Military or veteran status
- Marital, familial, or caregiver status
- Socioeconomic status, housing status, or justice-involved history
- Any other status protected by applicable law
Definitions
- Discrimination: Unequal treatment based on a protected class that limits or denies participation, benefits, or access.
- Harassment: Unwelcome verbal, nonverbal, or physical conduct based on a protected class that creates a hostile, intimidating, or offensive environment or interferes with participation or work.
- Sexual Harassment: Unwelcome sexual advances, requests for sexual favors, or other verbal/physical conduct of a sexual nature.
- Retaliation: Adverse action taken against a person for reporting a concern, participating in an investigation, or supporting someone who raised a concern.
Prohibited Conduct
The following behaviors are prohibited in all Antara spaces:
- Slurs, derogatory remarks, stereotyping, or demeaning jokes
- Exclusion, denial of services, or unequal treatment based on a protected class
- Bullying, intimidation, threats, or stalking, online or offline
- Unwelcome sexual advances, commentary, or physical contact
- Displaying or distributing offensive materials or images
- Retaliation against anyone who reports a concern or participates in a review
Disability Accommodations & Language Access
- Antara provides reasonable accommodations upon request, including ASL/interpretation, plain-language materials, sensory-aware options, and mobility-friendly setups.
- We strive to offer interpreters and translated materials for limited-English-proficient participants.
- Virtual participation options are provided whenever feasible.

Reporting a Concern
If you experience or witness discrimination, harassment, or retaliation:
- Tell the facilitator or program lead if you feel safe to do so.
- Submit a written concern via our Contact page.
- In emergencies or immediate danger, call 911 first.
Antara will promptly review concerns, take appropriate steps to stop prohibited conduct, prevent its recurrence, and address any effects.
We will maintain confidentiality to the extent possible and consistent with safety and legal obligations.
Anti-Retaliation
Retaliation against any person who, in good faith, reports a concern or participates in a review is strictly prohibited.
Retaliation will be treated as a separate violation of this policy.
Responsibilities
- Everyone: Follow this policy; treat others with respect; report concerns promptly.
- Leads & Facilitators: Model inclusive behavior; respond to concerns; escalate when needed.
- Board & Administration: Ensure policy implementation, training, and accountability.
